Logos Open Culture’s ‘Making Music in Malawi’ book launch hosted by Scotland Malawi Partnership, Edinburgh/virtual, 4 April 2022, 3-4pm

Logos Open Culture is delighted the Scotland Malawi Partnership is hosting the official launch of our latest publication. The launch of Making Music in Malawi, by the prolific social historian John Lwanda (2021), will take place on Monday 4 April. Tune in online from 3 to 4pm Malawi time or register to attend in person at the Edinburgh City Chambers 2 to 3pm UK time.

Making Music in Malawi is a ground-breaking contribution to the historical and sociocultural significance of sounds. These make and remake Malawi. A culmination of many years of research, Lwanda covers a staggering range of indigenous and hybrid musical genres. It is a testament of Lwanda’s love of music. Dr Lwanda will attend the event in Edinburgh.
