Chambo Market hosts first literary event for kids

Chambo Market hosted a successful literary event today at August House in Lilongwe. Over 20 children came along to listen to stories about Chikondi, Joy and Goat. They joined in with colouring and coming up with their own stories about the three lovable characters.

The main author and illustrator of the series, Kate Mkandawire, read to the group of children in the grounds of August House in Lilongwe on a sunny afternoon of 5 June. Mkandawire is building a set of readers with characters, places and objects familiar to Malawian children and children living in Malawi.
